The test there fails once the child keeps cgit's ignored SIGPIPE, so a
second one here would add nothing.

A script that failed to load and was carried on with would still fail
at filter_open, so the two load tests also check the reason Lua gave.

The test found the text anywhere on the page, so output that slipped
behind the closing tag, as print once did, still passed.

Five tests read or rewrote a config an earlier test had written, so
none of them could run alone with --run.
|
|
A check read the tmp an earlier test had left, so run alone or after a
failed fetch it read a stale page. Each test now asks for its own page
through cgit_ok_url, which renders it past the shared cache and fails
on a logged error or a page cut short.

A build without Lua left the eight tests of that pass out of the run,
where the rest of the script counts its Lua tests as skipped.

cgit takes no notice of how an about, commit, source or email filter
exits, and nothing showed that a failing one still leaves the page
whole.
|
|
LuaJIT and Lua 5.1 leave print's line in stdio's buffer until cgit
exits, after the end of the page.

|
The one-line request wrappers go with them. Configs with several
repositories, a key out of place on purpose, the cache on or no
repository of their own stay written out.

The about check already finds the div right before the filtered text, so
its copy went, and the tree page is flattened where it was first read.

setup.sh already asks the binary, so the seven scripts that each turned
the answer into a prerequisite now share one. test-lib names the missing
prerequisite beside every test it skips, so the notes that cgit lacks
Lua go, while the ones announcing a fallback stay. Every script that
listed the standalone interpreters asked for the same ceiling, so lib.sh
now builds that list for all of them.

Index sorting, the commit graph, the stats periods past a week, the hex
dump of a binary file and a Lua filter's html_url_arg and html_include
ran in no test.

A Lua build replaces write, and git can write before cmd_main reaches
cgit_init_filters, as it does when GIT_TRACE2 is set, which called
through a null pointer and crashed every request.
|
|
A script raising anything but a string or a number handed die a null to
print, and a Lua state that could not be created was used anyway once
the filter closed.
|
|
A script's top level runs before cgit hooks stdout for it, and the
unhook html() began with tripped an assert that aborted cgit.

With nothing below the about page, a readme's relative links have to be
written against the tree, and only cgit knows how this site spells the
url of a tree page and which ref the readme was read from. Both reach
the filter already escaped for a url, built by the same writer as
cgit's own links.

The numbering walks outward from the ground the suite stands on.
- t000x for the git version, html validity and the cache
- t01xx for page content, one script per page
- t02xx for filters, submodule links, dates and limits, which cut
across pages
- t03xx for defence, the security regressions and the $HOME promise
- t04xx for the helper tools under tools/
